*No, this is not a pregnancy/birth story
Today is the first day of school for HISD. This means that we won't be able to go to the park that we've been frequenting every morning because that park is actually a school playground. This is good news though, because it also means that our old park will be available for us to go to. Our neighborhood park has a little community center that was being used over the Summer for some sort of Summer program for older kids. As a result, our beloved playground was continually overrun by big kids and not at all toddler-friendly. At the beginning of the Summer, we migrated over to the park at the elementary school. That's a nice park, but it's too far for us to walk there, so every morning, we'd load up in the car and drive over there. This really felt like such a lazy thing to do, but it's really too far (and the only way to get there is via busy streets) add to that 100 degree heat--even in the morning--and a pregnant Mama and well, we took the lazy route. Now that we can go back to our regular park, we can walk there and get some exercise! We're also hoping to see some of our old friends from our old park who didn't make the move over to the elementary school with us. I'm beginning to feel like things are going to only get better from here.
In other exciting news: I've been seeing Halloween stuff trickling into stores. Also, I have my Bath and Body Works coupon for one free Halloween/Fall soap dispenser firmly placed on my refrigerator, and the dates that it can be used circled in orange marker on my calendar. I am not messing around here.
