Anna-ism of the Day

On the way to the grocery store the other day, Anna gave me a little lecture in the car. Here's what she said:

"Now, Mommy, when we get to the grocery store, please do not be upset if they don't have balloons or pineapples."

The balloon part makes perfect sense. The store that we shop at sometimes has balloons to hand out to the kids, but it's not a sure-thing. Every time that I take Anna with me, we have to have the "balloon talk" on the way there, just to circumvent a balloon-related meltdown, in the event that they don't have balloons to give out that day. The pineapple part? Your guess is as good as mine.

Oh that's really charming. How nice to have someone in your life to prepare you for the possibility of a balloon meltdown. That's sweet that she wants to do that for you now!

Perhaps, the pineapple was in case they DID hand out baloons, then you'd have to be prepared for the sharp edges of the pineapple to POP your baloon!?!?!?!?! BUT.... with Anna, WHO KNOWS???? LOL... she is soooo funny!!!
