Go Western Day, 2012

What a difference a year makes. Here's Anna on the morning of "Go Western Day" last year, devastated at the prospect of having to dress up for school and wear the boots that I bought just for this occasion. It was an epic battle between mother and daughter that morning and daughter ended up winning. As soon as I snapped this picture, I let her put on her sparkly pink shoes that she always used to wear to school and all was right with the world again.

Flash forward to this morning: Go Western Day 2012 at school

She was super excited to dress up and wonder of wonders, the boots from last year still fit! We were going for a "Jessie" from Toy Story 2 & 3 look with the hair. What we ended up with was a smidge more Pippi Longstockings, but whatever. Anna was pleased as punch with her look.

The best that we could do for Jack was his t-shirt that has Woody on it. You may wonder why there are precious few pictures of my beloved boy on this blog. It's not for a lack of trying, people. The next picture is a perfect example of how most of the pictures that I take of him turn out:

Happy as can be!

Loved the pics, and of course, ALL of the captions!!! Anna DOES look like Woody's girlfriend!
