A Minication

Oh hi! I'm back. Miss me?

Kevin had a conference in Austin last week and ended up with a couple of free days at the end of the week. The kids and I met him up in the Hill Country and went to Sea World. It was a great time. We went on a Thursday, the week before school was out, so we had the park to ourselves. Funny thing is, once we got there, we headed directly for the new Sesame Street "Bay of Play" portion of the park. We had been there about 2.5 hours when I told Kevin, "we've been at Sea World for 2.5 hours and we've yet to see a fish". The kids really enjoyed it though and we managed to venture away from the Sesame Street part and go and see some real fish later in the day.

Even though neither of my kids really watch Sesame Street, they know the characters. Jack was positively star struck during the Sesame Street show. It was rather adorable.

Then, after a quick costume change, we explored the splashpad at the Bay of Play

Next, we took in a show. Who's this Prissy Princess?

At this point, we were way past naptime, but still hanging in there.

One of the highlights of the day was getting to feed the dolphins

When we finally made it back to the car, after a fun-filled, full day, Jack's eyes were already rolling back in his head and he was on an express train, heading to Sleepytown. (This photo was taken while we were still in the parking lot)

What a great day!
